Nostradamus is now available on DVD in Germany. The DVD features the German track only. You can purchase it on Amazon.de or on Mail Order. Obviously, both sites are in German...but the second one allows you to switch to English language.

A few captures of the film are available here but none can been seen with Julie.

It's a 90-minute film documentary produced last year by Discovery Channel : In this age of global terror, the predictions of Nostradamus continue to strike a chord. For the first time ever, Discovery Channel tells the story of the mysterious man and his dark world in a factual based drama. One of the most famous people in the world, he is a legendary figure whose life has become surrounded by myth and speculation.

Almost Heaven is going straight to DVD in Canada. It will be released on February 2nd 2007. Only the English track will be available. There will be no special features.

Julie Cox has been signed up for BBC1's Casualty cop spin-off Holby Blue, which will focus on life in a police station. It follows the lives and loves of officers stationed near the fictional hospita of Holby City over 12 episodes. She will play character Mandy French.

EastEnder Kacey Ainsworth, Footballers' Wives Zoe Lucker and Bleak House's Richard Harrington also star in the show, written by ex EastEnders supremo Tony Jordan. Filming started in October and it will air on BBC1 in April 2007.

Major update ! Ross Bradley from Media Republic has been cutting the first draft of ‘The Riddle' film trailer for a few days and it is now available online ! You can see his work on his website. The trailer looks fantastic, so be sure to check it out !

Just a quick update to say that I've found information on THE MALINATTO GIRLS. It's a short film which has been screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 1994.

It tells the story of three sisters who are sole survivors of the great Malinatto family. One of the sisters, Julia, tries to keep up traditions but it brings only disasters.

It was directed by Thor BEKKAVIK and it also stars Helen CUMMINGS and Vanessa SADLER. You can view a short clip on the director's website. It's almost at the end of the video.

Principal photography began March 30, 2006 on the romantic comedy feature film  Almost Heaven , a Canada/UK co-production between Vancouver-based Infinity Films and London-based Rafford Films .

Directed by Shel Piercy , Almost Heaven has been shot in Langley and Maple Ridge in early April then continued in the Glasgow area in May. The original screenplay was co-written by Piercy and Richard Beattie . Cynthia Chapman ( Unnatural And Accidental ) produces for Infinity Films and Allan Scott ( Shallow Grave ) for Rafford Films. Executive producers include Peter Simpson, Norstar Films, and Dan Carriere , Infinity Films.

Almost Heaven is distributed by Norstar Films and slated for a December 2006 theatrical release. It will premiere during the Toronto Film Festival in September 2006.

Starring Donal Logue ( The Tao of Steve ), Kirsty Mitchell ( Greyfriars Bobby ), Joely Collins ( The Love Crimes of Gillian Guess ), and academy award-nominated Tom Conti ( Shirley Valentine ), the story follows MARK BRADY (Logue), the charismatic, alcohol-fuelled director of a television fishing show being filmed in the majestic Scottish Borders. It sounds like a sweet gig, except it stars his bitter ex-wife TAYA (Collins), and the Scottish fish aren't biting. To make matters worse, Mark is saddled with NICKI (Michell), a headstrong female ghillie with whom he can't help but fall in love.

"Romantic comedies are always in fashion and this slightly bent story, which has attracted a world class cast, will have wide appeal to audiences everywhere.  It is the funniest script I've read since Local Hero," says executive producer Peter Simpson of Norstar Films .
